Hey folks! This is a bit of a repeat recipe, but sometimes you need something quick and easy that you know will taste delicious. Enter the galette...again!
You may remember a certain Blueberry Galette Recipe I made last month. This week, I decided to go for a savory dinner instead of a sweet dessert.
It's the same dough recipe as before, but for a little extra kick, I added some chili powder. Below is the before picture:
And a zoom in of the deliciousness:
My toppings of choice: Italian blend cheese, arugula, bacon, and eggs. Seriously delicious. The only things I would change would be to add the eggs and arugula MUCH later in the baking process. I put everything on right at the start. Everything still tasted good, but the eggs were thoroughly cooked and I was imagining slightly runny yolks. But, ya live and ya learn, right? The arugula was also a bit crunchy around the edges, but again, still yummy. To jazz it up a bit further, I put some breadcrumbs on top, which were actually really good!
Here is the post oven product. Warning, my boyfriend and I were way to hungry to wait for me to take a picture of it in tact, so these are post-cutting:
Look at the side by side action. So fancy.
I hope you all enjoyed this mini post, and seriously, make some galettes! Not gonna lie, I will be making a peach galette, because I am a recipe repeater AND PROUD!
Happy baking :)
